The Friends is one of several groups concerned with preservation of the San Dieguito River Valley. The Others Are: San Dieguito River Valley Regional Open Space Park Joint Powers Authority www.sdrp.orgis a single-purpose government agency authorized by its member agencies, the County of San Diego, and the cities of Del Mar, Escondido, Poway, San Diego and Solana Beach, to create a greenway and open space park in the River Valley. Information: 858-674-2270San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy www.sdrvc.org is a private, non-profit organization established to locate and develop sources of funds for land acquisition; secure gifts and bequests of land and money; work with other public and private organizations to acquire land.City of Del Mar: San Dieguito Lagoon Preservation Committee www.delmar.ca.us/Government/Pages/SDLC.aspx is charged with overseeing the preservation and enhancement of the San Dieguito Lagoon. The Committee participates on both local and regional levels. |
